Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the Zanshin Dojo

Although Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is still a relatively young sport in Europe, the BJJ is already a tradition in the Zanshin Dojo: Brazilian ground fighting has been part of our regular training program since 2002, and during this time we have worked with various Gracie Barra trainers successfully. The first Gracie Barra Blackbelt to live permanently in Hamburg already took over the BJJ training in 2005, so that we now have all levels up to brown and black.

BJJ: Perfection on the ground

The fighters of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu are characterized by their perfection in ground combat, which determines training and combat. In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu there is also the fight without the judo suit (no-gi), due to the risk of injury, mainly the techniques of sports competition with a suit are taught in the Zanshin Dojo.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for kids

As a contact sport, Gracie Barra's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu provides a very challenging but safe and caring environment for a child to become a true champion. The result of the continuous training of GB JJ goes far beyond the performance on the mats. The discipline and excellence required by our instructions often carries over into the child's behavior at home and in school.
