Legend Guro Dan Inosanto awards Full Instructor!

During my last visit to my teacher Guro Dan Inosanto in Los Angeles I was awarded the title of a Full Instructor in Jeet Kune Do and Filipino Martial Arts.
Full Instructor is the fourth Instructor Level and I feel very honored having received this award. I want to thank Guro Dan and Simo Paula for their trust towards my commitment to continue spreading the Art and Philosophy of the Inosanto System.

Guro Inosanto is a great inspiration for me and influenced my Martial Arts journey since it began with a Judo class 43 years ago. Two weeks ago on Thursday, I trained with him for seven hours in his Academy together with John, Thorsten and Marc. On that day, he taught a total of 9 hours, including one session with children. And all of that at the age of 80. If this is not a great motivation to anyone to continue training, I don’t know what is!
He still continues to live the philosophy of his teacher and friend, the late Bruce Lee, and is open to anything new in the Martial Arts World. There wasn´t a single visit to him, during which he didn´t introduce us to a new Martial Arts Master.

Twenty years ago I started Zanshin Dojo, a Martial Arts Academy in Hamburg, together with Tim von Fintel. Since then I tried to integrate his philosophy in our school and tried to pass it on to my students.

I would like to thank my two first JKD and Kali teachers and friends Ralf Beckmann and Oliver Nickel who subsequently also introduced me to Guro Inosanto´s instructor program. In addition, I would like to thank my training partners Henning Elfers and Jens Thomson, who travelled with me to L.A. for more than two decades. And last but not least Guro Rick Faye, Guro Rick Young , Guro Daniel Lonero, Guro Joel Clark, Sensei Erik Paulson und Cookie Vassiliou for their great support.

My goal for the next thirty years is to continue to train and pass on the Art, as Guro Inosanto does.
